DAK Equipment & Engineering is one of the largest stocking distributors of material handling equipment in the Midwest. If you are in a hurry for racking, wire decks, guard rail and related products, you've come to the right place. We have a 40,000-square-foot warehouse full of what you need and usually ready to ship in one business day. In addition, DAK has completed sophisticated project work in 44 of the 50 states. If you need a pick system, conveyor, racking, mezzanines, modular offices and more, DAK can make these items work together faster and better than just about anyone. In over 15 years of serving this industry, we've seen many changes. The one constant is this: The customer comes first.

Who We Are

DAK Equipment & Engineering was opened by David Kenealy (owner and president) on January 1, 1995 in a small office in downtown Chicago. After only a year and a half, our growing company needed to expand to include a warehouse, so we moved to a larger office with a warehouse just down the street. Despite having had a somewhat unsavory reputation in the 1920s, the warehouse suited our company splendidly and we stayed in that location another six years until we had outgrown that facility as well. Our next move brought us 20 minutes outside of Chicago to Elmhurst, IL, where we currently have a 40,000-square-foot warehouse-our largest to date-that is regularly stocked with Interlake Mecalux and Nashville Wire materials. We are able to ship in-stock orders immediately, and our warehouse still includes space to stock special order materials, including those from our online catalog. Today we are one of the largest stocking distributors of material handling equipment in the Midwest. Since opening, we have received numerous recognition awards from Interlake and Nashville Wire for Outstanding Sales and a number of awards from our other vendors including Starrco, Republic and Ermanco. DAK has also been a member in good standing of Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) since 2002.

DAK is a company of individuals committed to providing the best service to customers each and every day. We gladly offer expertise in every aspect of material handling, from simply supplying the materials needed to using AutoCAD to properly plan the most efficient use of a space. When given a project, our salesmen become just as dedicated to it as our customer.
