How to Maximize the Space Underneath Your Mezzanine Level

There are so many ways that people are using their mezzanine levels in their warehouses. Whether you are using it for additional storage, office space, or a break room, mezzanine levels are the ideal way to get more square footage within your warehouse without paying for construction on an addition. One of the things you’ll need to think about, though, is how to maximize the space underneath your mezzanine level once it’s been installed.

Due to the need for support, you could lose some of your space underneath the mezzanine. DAK Equipment & Engineering will help you eliminate as much of that loss as possible by creating a mezzanine plan that maximizes the efficiency of the layout and reducing the number of needed supports. Overall, though, even with an overabundance of support columns under your mezzanine level, you’ll end up with a net gain of space thanks to the square footage you gain from the mezzanine.

Another option is to support your mezzanine level with shelves. For some warehouses, this is the ideal way to maximize storage while still getting the mezzanine level they need. Storage racks are installed at strategic points under the mezzanine level to provide the necessary support; additional storage racks can be installed as well, giving you tons of storage space.
