Cantilever Rack

Cantilever rack is the solution for storing long or bulky items like carpet rolls, furniture, lumber, tubing, textiles, piping, and other long items. With no aisle upright to limit the use of horizontal space, cantilever offers a practical solution for the storage of even the most difficult-to-store items. Arms are adjustable up or down, and are easily removed or replaced.

Most storage systems are specifically catered to items of a certain size or weight, and attempting to use rack to accommodate loads that do not fit the load criteria of the rack system can endanger both you and your product. Interlake Mecalux and Excel Storage Systems (USP) manufacture a system of roll-formed cantilever rack that is your solution for storing long, nonuniform, or bulky items such as aircraft sections, carpet rolls, furniture, electronic components, lumber and wood products, tubing, textiles, piping, and other long items. With no traditional frame aisle uprights to limit the use of horizontal space, cantilever rack offers an accessible and practical solution for the storage of even the most difficult to store items. This multilevel, high-density storage system is designed and engineered to offer excellent strength, stability, and safety.

Patented, adjustable pin locks on the cantilever arm are sturdy, making Interlake Mecalux and Excel (USP)'s arm-locking methods the strongest and safest in the industry. When the arm pins engage in the column slots, the connection gets stronger when the rack is loaded (within allowable limits). Arms are quickly adjustable up or down in 4-inch intervals, slope at a pitch of 3/4" per foot, and can be easily removed or replaced for maximum versatility. Bases and arms are bolted directly to the cantilever uprights to provide a simple yet secure storage rack system; bases can also be anchored to the floor to limit lateral movement. This system can also be mounted on mobile bases for increased storage capacity without limiting direct access to each load stored. The bracing system is pre-punched and factory welded into the proper place, and all components are treated with a durable powder-coat paint finish for unsurpassed aesthetics and resistance to scratches. Structural cantilever rack systems require no front posts or down aisle columns that obstruct accessibility, and singular uprights can be used for both single- and double-sided applications, allowing for greater versatility. Accessories include drop-in steel decks, rod end stops to keep loose loads securely in place, steel bed frame supports for wood or steel decking, and a spring loaded entrance guide system for the safety and protection of both the merchandise and the rack system.
