Beam installation is simple with Interlake Mecalux and Excel's innovative, patented piston lock, which seats and locks automatically in a single step, eliminating the need for sliding parts or additional hardware. The piston lock is an automatic engagement device that reduces installation time, guards against accidental beam displacement, easily facilitates re-profiling, and surpasses the RMI specifications for maximum safety and load security. The piston lock is damage- and tamper-resistant, and stays snugly in place during use.

The "S-Defender" upright columns feature a structural steel channel base with a 12-inch offset design, which helps to minimize damage in the lower portion of the rack, where 90% of forklift abuse typically occurs.
